UKCL - The Home of Competitive Cornhole in the UK
The UK Cornhole League (UKCL) has become the driving force behind competitive cornhole in Britain. Founded in 2021, UKCL was created to give players across the United Kingdom a structured, professional, and inclusive league dedicated to growing the sport from grassroots participation to elite competition.
Cornhole has exploded in popularity across the United States over the last two decades. UKCL has helped bring that same energy and professionalism to the UK, transforming what was once mainly a pub or garden game into a thriving national competitive scene.
The Early Days
UKCL was founded by Daniel Lilley with a vision to create a nationwide competitive structure for British cornhole players. In its early seasons, the league focused on organising ranking events, qualifiers, and championship competitions while building a strong community around the sport. As interest in cornhole grew throughout the UK, local clubs and communities began emerging across England and beyond. Clubs such as the Ashby Baggers helped demonstrate the appetite for organised competition and regular league play.
Building a National League
UKCL quickly evolved into a fully structured national competition system featuring;
- Open Tournaments
- National Rankings
- Tiered Championships
- National Finals Events

The league has worked hard to make the sport accessible to everyone, regardless of age, experience, or background. Their ethos "A Game for Everyone, A League for All" reflects the inclusive spirit that has helped cornhole grow so rapidly in Britain. Major events now attract players from all over the country, with professionally organised venues, live scoring, branded courts, and increasingly competitive standards.
UKCL Today
Today, UKCL is widely regarded as the leading competitive cornhole organisation in the United Kingdom. The league host national tournaments and championship events that continue to grow in both scale and professionalism. According to the organisation, recent seasons have seen record participation levels and expanding partnerships. In 2024, the league entered a new phase when ownership and management transitioned to Alistair Pettitt, Nick Pettitt, and Ben Gregory, continuing the mission of growing cornhole across the UK. The UKCL now operates as both a competitive league and a community hub for players, clubs, and fans. Events regularly feature; National ranking points, Tiered divisions, Championship pathways, Club rivalries and Live tournament coverage.
